Geoprobe 5400 System: Mounted on a heavy duty Ford 250 4WD pickup truck; 7'9"H x 7'W x 21' L,9'9" (unfolded boom). This hydraulically powered Geoprobe unit, provides more than 25,000 lbs (111 kN) pull at 2,000 psi (138 bar). This unit is typically used for soil core, soil gas and groundwater sampling. The 5400 model allows for multiple probe placements without moving the carrier vehicle. Roller bearing design provides lateral slide of 23.5" both left and right of center of the carrier vehicle. The 5400 unit also features a separated cylinder to displace the unit in and out of distance of 20" from carrier vehicle. CPI has successfully retrieved soil samples from depths over 90' in various projects in southern and central California.
